This is what some unscrupulous marketers of books, videos and diet products take advantage of. A lot people
are looking for a quick way out of their situation. But the truth is, there is no quick way out. If people
want to lose weight and develop those muscles, they have to work for it.
Muscle building programs should be realistic and should develop reachable goals and achievable expectations.
There are a number of programs that build up the hype but later on fail to motivate people to continue on with the
program.
Vince Delmonte’s “No Nonsense Muscle Building”, however, claims to be different.
Periodization
The ebook’s main approach is for people who want to develop their muscles to acquire what Vince calls
“periodization.” The “periodization” program provides plans of changing sets and reps in an attempt to
stimulate the different muscle groups. Each routine builds up to the next one, pretty much like the different
phases of yoga exercises. Each exercise is in preparation for the next one. Skipping a phase could be prove to
be ineffective since the body is not yet prepared to do the next one.
The book discusses basic diet and training that is geared towards gaining considerable muscle mass. The book has
a diet plan, nutritional guides, a discussion on hormones, a discussion on fat reduction, and so on. Everything has
been laid out for you to follow starting from the basics and then going on to the more advanced
techniques. Vince emphasizes learning to pace yourself and listening to your own body. With
intuition and instinct, your body should be able to guide you on training decisions which
eventually will lead you to a better physique.
Rest And Recovery
The book teaches proper rest and recovery techniques which are very important in building the muscles. Although
it is necessary to train the muscles to get results, allowing the body to recuperate also contributes in the growth
of the muscles. In fact, some programs are destined to fail precisely because they do not give any importance on
the recovery aspect.
Fitness-Model Physique
Vince DelMonte's approach in achieving a “fitness-model physique” instead of the hunky bodybuilder physique
other programs are advocating is a good one. The coverage therefore is not only on building muscle mass
but also the whole nine yards including training for flexibility, endurance and muscular balance. The book is
a good balanced guide which hopefuls will find pretty effective.
